Baby Eastern African Crowned Cranes

African Crowned Cranes

On July 5th Saving Animals For Everyone received three Eastern African Crowned Cranes. These cranes were only three weeks old when they were donated. As soon as Lilly Baron received word about the donation she sprang into action getting everything prepared for their arrival. Thanks to so many volunteers who came out and helped us prepare the habitat for the three week old cranes.

We were also able to salvage the boulders from Marty’s habitat our African Spurr Tortoise who was trapped under the boulders last month, and placed them in the cranes new home. More on Marty’s rescue here. Even after a few weeks of having the cranes they have grown so much. Easter African Crowned Cranes are full grown after 8 months. Pictured here is a 1 year old African crowned crane. with a membership you can come and see how beautiful these birds have become.  See you membership page for more information. get your sneak peak of the babies before they are full grown.
